Who we are
As East Asian natives, we longed for the authentic taste of home when we arrived in Berkeley. Replicating the flavors we grew up with proved challenging, as many local offerings fell short. That’s when we turned to automation. With the help of robotic technology, we’re able to recreate the authentic taste and quality of our hometown cuisine with precision. Join us as we use innovation to bring the true flavors of home back to the broader food and beverage industry.
Co-founder
Jerry Tang, a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley, has been an entrepreneur since elementary school, running his own food service ventures. A dedicated food and boba lover, Jerry founded RobaHub to revolutionize food and beverage automation. He’s using RobaTea to kickstart RobaHub, showcasing how robotics can enhance the boba experience through safety, customization, and efficiency. His vision is to scale RobaHub’s technology across the industry, transforming both food quality and operations.

Peggy Tsao, a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley, grew up in Taiwan—the birthplace of boba tea. Having savored boba tea for over 18 years, she has mastered the key factors of a delightful cup of boba. She is passionate about sharing this joy with others, believing that great boba tea spreads happiness worldwide. Join her in enjoying a happier world one sip at a time!
